Any tips for post serve breakdown

At the time, I had already told my STBXW that I wanted to divorce her, but we had to put it on the back-burner due to financial reasons. We got sued from one of her DUI crashes. And then had to file bankruptcy (no way to pay it). But before the bankruptcy was done, she got pinched on a Felony DUI (kids were in the car when she crashed). So I waited it out. She got the DUI conviction and jail time and $7500 in DUI fines and she refused to work. She expected me to get a second job to pay off her DUI fines.

That's when I filed. And when she got served those divorce papers? She screamed at the top of her lungs. I thought the neighbors were going to call 911.

Tips? None I can give. Except "leave" or "Don't be there when she gets served". Because if she calls the cops, you'll be the one led away in handcuffs.

My cluster B ex was a nightmare. She never stopped threatening me, even after the papers were signed. She never stopped gaslighting me, even when she was caught in lies of infidelity and fraud. Her delusions leaked out prior to me filing divorce, she would find a better man...and if she didn't maybe we would end up together one day. I told her I would choose death before that happened.

When she walked into the bank for THE check... our buisnnes was done, and I blocked her.

Honestly what worked for me was showing vulnerability and saying how hard it is for me too. Telling her how I can’t sleep and have no appetite. Once I did that, the fangs went away and it’s been amicable so far. I talked about kicking butt at co-parenting and becoming friends. I can write a book on here about the last few days. It’s trending towards a fair agreement that has been submitted to her lawyer. She has BD and possibly BPD so keeping things calm will be a challenge but so far so good.
