After watching the Betty season of Dirty John I am so glad to see this

It sounds like you’ve been chasing this man for a while so you’ve set the precedent. You can’t fix someone when you’ve already shown him how low the bar is. Block and move in.

I couldn’t help but think about Jessica on love is blind telling mark she’ll be 38 when he’s 30 and 48 when he’s 40 haha.

Had this issue. Could not get wet and had to use lube with him. Thought it was me. Turns out he couldn’t turn me on anymore after I lost all trust in him.

Why did you match him again?

She does! It flips the second she’s talking to men vs the camera or other women. I was watching it with my brother and he actually pointed it out in the first episode before I even noticed

Jessica from love is blind is a textbook example of women doing this

Could he have picked a worse assembly to do this at

Men know right away. They don’t need six months. He is leading you on

Yes. But sex work is also not criminalized everywhere. Categorizing it as a crime puts the blame on sex workers and not those who purchase it.

Or systemic socioeconomic issues faced by marginalized groups force certain populations into more precarious types of work? There is more than enough academic literature on this topic.

You do not mention it and then when and if he brings it up you say you don’t do last minute plans.

Sounds like he’s already in a relationship.

Including sex workers in this list is incredibly unfair. People in those situations are often a product of their circumstances

The most disturbing part for me when I read this was that he destroyed it and then wanted to show her so he could watch her reaction. Terrifying.

I think calling someone who is obviously being psychologically abused LV is a pretty LV move.

Anyone asking to see you during this time - putting you, his, both of your loved ones, and wider communities at risk is not someone you should be putting any energy into. And honestly, you should have acted with more maturity during this time yourself. No one should be “dating” in person right now.
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy28/03/20 08:39 PM

Also I just went through your post history - you saw this guy during the self-isolation period? Evidently both you and him have to reassess your priorities.

Not sure what you’re even doing.

Exactly!! Now isn’t the time to date but to try and help. And so many people want to help. I find that reassuring.

I hadn’t! I guess the title was misleading, but it’s a green flag for me

Honestly it’s more than likely haha. Only time will tell, not getting my hopes up here.

It’s obvious that the circumstances you mentioned are very different than going on a date. Staying at home is a privilege at this time that should have been respected.

“Stay home unless it’s essential”. You said it yourself.

Regardless of what the CDC is saying there is a moral responsibility now to socially distance. While local businesses remain open, why she would still pursue this regardless of whether such regulations are put into place is bewildering to me.

Did you really feel a date was more important than the collective health of your community? This was pretty low value of you.

I actually wanted to put my technique out there: I always mute any chats with potential men. That way I’m not bothered with notifications and if I do reply it is naturally when I’m on my phone

Dated my ex for two years and he led me along saying he’d marry me. Took me ring shopping in everything. Found out shortly from his family that he had been going around telling everyone in his life he’s single for months. He gained over fifty pounds after we broke up and continues to use his pre-weight gain pictures to catfish girls online.

I can’t agree more with the travelling bit. It’s so frustrating. Like you said, not everyone has the money or schedule that allows them to travel. And just because I haven’t been to 32+ countries doesn’t make me any less worldly.

Some guys ask for insta to make sure they’re not being catfished or talking to a robot. I also actually take it well when a guy adds me on Instagram since it means he’s not cheating haha

There is literally nothing nice about this man.
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy02/01/20 04:22 PM

Isn't being nice just the bare minimum though? Everyone should be nice.

Anyone airing any crap like that on social media has got. To. Go.

How old are these men? Lol. Have literally never ever encountered this

I would also just add, I’m south-asian and never grew up around any animals (though I do have a dog now). For a good portion of my life I was honestly scared of them because of this weird deep rooted fear my parents instilled in me as a kid. Some cultures just don’t open children up to having pets.

I actually like to keep my weekend evenings open for actual social outings with friends. I think it has the added benefit of making me appear busier and therefore someone to make time for on the man’s agenda

All men know the average woman will drop her panties to play with a puppy. I own a dog myself, but wouldn’t use the poor thing as a pawn for dates. It’s a low effort way to make himself look like a caring person. Additionally, this applies more if it’s a picture of his friend’s dog, not his.

Dog pictures. Especially if it’s not their dog. Same with babies (who the hell used someone else’s child to manipulate their way into dates???)
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy09/12/19 03:41 AM

I treat dog pictures the same way as babies unless they specify it’s theirs. I just see it as a weird manipulation tactic
