Apparently uber-alpha Silvio Berlusconi has been targeted after a ’sexist’ remark. More than 100,000 women have signed a petition saying they were offended when Silvio, the old dog, told a a former minister, ‘You are always more beautiful than intelligent.’
To which she replied, ‘I’m not one of the women at your disposal.’ You need to check out the article and the picture of the woman to get a good idea of just how good an insult this was.
The intellectual class is offended because they’re the ones with the most illusions. Anything that’s an affront to how they see themselves and their fellow man must be discredited. The petition reads, ‘This man offends us, stop him.’ I sure do hope it says something more than that. For a petition written by three intellectuals one could not exactly call those words deep.
The choicest tidbit, many women sent their photos in to the newspaper’s web site with the words “offended by the premier” or “not at your disposal” written on them. Hell hath no fury…
