Every now and then a title lX post pops us. However, when it does, the people who discuss it in the comments already understand the law. I'm going off to college soon and have no clue how the law functions (or if it even is a law). All I know is that the title interferes with right to a trial by jury in rape accusations and rather the school holds its own little trial. I also think I read once that organizations such as RAINN oppose the title because its so terrible. I'm going off to college soon and if you guys could explain this I would greatly appreciate it. I read through the sidebar/FAQs and found nothing specifically about title lX. So I guess my question is: 1) what exactly is title lX (literally)? 2) who supports/opposes it and why? 3) What are some examples of title lX, good and bad? Thank you for your time
