This dude on my street i usually greet gave me a call yesterday morning that his wife just gave birth.

Ofcourse,i was happy for him and wished him well.

Fast forward 3hrs later,he sends a text message asking me to pay some cash for the hospital bills

I ignored the text..i wonder why a guy that isnt financially capable to have a kid would proceed to have one.

I can send him some cash to make as a gift to the baby but i dont want to establish a bad idea in his mind that he can come to me for cash anytime.

How would you guys go about this?
