That's actually a pretty good defence to the crime - but as the article says, you aren't allowed to raise an "affirmative defence" to drunk driving (you couldn't claim "self defence" or "necessity").

That being said, what does this have to do with Men's Rights?

She was drunk and accused her husband of being drunk, but he was the only abusive one?

I call bullshit.

I bet is that she started it and could not finish it when he got fed up. Been in that situation way to many times. In most cases its mutually combative, but she was weaker, therefore the victim.
