Last night, Drew Hinshaw of WSJ did an AMA about his work on Boko Haram, but ignored a couple of very valid questions about his organisations burial of what happened before the girls were taken.
Maybe he didn't see them, maybe he did, but I feel if we tweet (@drewfhinshaw) or email ([email protected]) - both addresses he has given out publicly - we might get a response.
I'm thinking polite messages requesting 1. An explanation as to why the murder of schoolboys is not worth covering and 2. A story making it clear that Boko Haram do not just focus on girls and that male disposability is not okay.
This is another chance for us to make someone see an angle they may not have previously considered and make more people aware that the Boko Haram isn't just #bringbackourgirls - it's also #stopburningourboysalive
