Twice tonight (I just got home, emptyhanded haha), I picked someone and had great chemistry but they had someone, and in their group they heavily suggested someone else, to the point that I felt set up with them, and the other person seemed enthusiastic.

I think it's SUPER weird to hit on a girl, have good chemistry, and then like, what, end up with her friend who I had totally ignored?

Is this normal? Was this real, I felt some genuine interest from the person they put in front of me instead, but both times I just left the group when it was obvious the person I was interested in wasn't available. (Though we had good chemistry or, the second time, touched heavily but she had a boyfriend.)

What would you do in this situation? Could I just turn from having great rapport, eye contact, connection, and touch, touch, touch, and intimate dancing, with a woman to, "Okay I'll do it with your friend" and start over? Is this normal?

Do you do this? Is it successful?

I've never shifted from one person in a group to another or brought another home if the person I was interested in wasn't available. Thoughts?
