It kind of drives me mad when people can't be bothered to use google and read (Especially academics and those who pontificate) and get things so badly wrong:

They say they are symptoms too, as well as being mentalities that make it easier and more likely to happen and more likely to go unnoticed and unpunished.

No, they overhwlemingly state they cause rape culture, i.e. the disease is self-perpetuating. I've been at this a long time. For example, feminists will regularly bring up the debunked "RAPE JOKES CAUSE MISOGYNY!" study to show that we live in a rape culture.

Feminists state that the culture in which we live in is so saturated with these cultural tropes and norms that we rationalize away the wrong doings of nearly all rapists. Here's a quote:

"Rape is part of our culture; it's normalized to the point where men who are otherwise decent guys will rape and not even think that it's wrong. And that's what terrifies me."

Jessica Valenti is not some 'hyperbolic SJW'. She is one of the most well known figureheads of the feminist movement. I don't even have to go back to the 2nd wave. The feminist M.O. is that rape culture is, first and foremost, an integral part of toxic masculinity, hence the "Don't Be That Guy" campaign, which was founded on the precept that men are brought up with overwhelming entitlement toward women's bodies.

Furthermore, calling it 'rape culture' is what is known as prescriptive linguistics. If it were merely a term for the collection of the behaviours and attitudes of even a sizable minority, they would have come up with a better term. But they didn't, and considering most feminists are, to their credit, very much aware of the power of thought-shaping words themselves hold, it is reasonable to hold them accountable for the implications calling our society a rape culture' elicits. They are, again, arguing that they are so ingrained within our culture that it leads to endemic rates of rape and abuse toward women. It is a foundation of modern patriarchy theory, and bleating about rape in the way feminists do is what I fondly refer to as the "Rape Shield", wherein all criticism is deflected via the deep appeals to emotion we as people are susceptible to when dealing with the sexual violation of females.

You're using a false dichotomy here; treating a circumstance as either or when it is not. The either or is "Either X circumstance exists for both men and women as claimed by MRAs and feminists, or it exists for neither men nor women."

The flaw in this is that you assume that if it is true that society tolerates the rape of men because men are presumed to always want sex, then it must also be true that society tolerates the rape of women because men are presumed to always want sex.

The two issues are not identical in nature. The first presumes that women are entitled to bypass male consent because it's taken for granted. The second is feminists accusing society of a "boys will be boys" attitude, not taking consent for granted, but ignoring the right to refuse on the claim that the attacker can't help himself.

Historical response to rape proves that the feminist claim is bullshit. Feminists admit to the MRA claim.

This is a continuing problem with your perspective on SJW approaches to sexual violence issues; you continually fall for flawed thinking. Feminists wrap their flawed reasoning in academic buzzwords to disguise the fact that they fail to meaningfully connect the information they cite with the claim they're making.
