So last night I asked a few subreddits, including r/ECEProfessionals if they thought the stigma against men as teachers and child-care providers was real. The original thread is here and some suggested I bring it here.

Please read through the original post of that thread, and maybe a few comments. Am I, as a male student studying to become a teacher and babysitter, being stigmatized? And are the views the social media portrays about male interaction with children something that can be defined as a civil rights movement? Some people have said that in their own viewpoints, the negative portrayals are sexist.
