When you see ads from World Vision and such you see both boys and girls suffering. Boys having to play the parent and stop going to school same with girls. I'd rather donate to World Vision and sponsor a child rather then donating to a sexist org like "because i'm a girl"

Both boys and girls deserve to be educated, both deserve to go to school, both deserve to have a house and a warm bed to sleep in. Some male privilege we have when kids are dying in africa and other third world countries.

I wonder what those cunts say to boys when they see their sister(s) getting money, food and education and he doesn't, wheres that boy's chance to get things equally like his sister ? Feminists make me fucking sick, fucking monsters, every last one of them.

A boy doesn't have privilege when he's dying of starvation.

Think about America back when Racism was still the order of the day.

Black children and White children had "separate but equal" educational facilities. At least that was the idea. We both know that reality looked much different from the ideal. The schools and facilities ended up being vastly different in terms of funding and other benefits.

For someone to say that we should forcefully(as in make this the default for public schools) separate children based on factors that the children have zero choice over, well in my opinion they really need to take a closer look at the course of human history.

If you wanted to create an all male or female private school, then its on you if it fails. If the government were to decide to separate the children, then its on all of us if it fails or one school becomes vastly superior. Yes there are differences between the sexes, but to risk repeating history for what I see to be at best a trivial improvement would In my opinion be worse than foolishness.

The 'true' differences between male and female matters little to this discussion because (I hope) we all realize that there is a snowballs chance in hell of the facilities getting equal funding. Just take a look at minority scholarships and such.

Private schools are a different matter and I'd be inclined to care less about those. But public education is still what the vast majority of students attend.

As a side note I doubt that separating the kids would have a positive effect on their social skills. After all, it would have the effect that some kids might rarely ever see another kid not their sex. It would be an interesting social experiment, but also one I couldn't condone because of potential long term social issues. but there is no way to tell without actually testing that.

The one difference I see is that there is no evidence that black people learn any different than white or yellow people. Gender on the other hand has a whole host of differences.

Now while I'm sure "scientists" of the time proclaimed that blacks were inferior to whites the fact is that was bullshit, but again, gender is a different story.

I think the potential benefit would be massive, truly massive. And again, last I checked there has never been any historical fuckup regarding gender segregated schooling. (comparing this to racism is stupid, don't try it)

Yes and no, I think the most likely result would be boys scoring higher and that politicians would at that point try to save their asses (they would be on fire at this point) by giving girls schools massive funding advantages, but again, I was talking about classrooms with minimal differences. But assuming for a second that the hellish snowball was fine and that both schools/classes got equal funding (taking subject into consideration, woodwork and cooking need more money than philosophy and "gender studies") that there would be good benefits both academically and socially.

I would suggest using private schools as an example for this, it has been my observation that boys only and girls only private schools tend to score better and have far less "problems" than mix gender private schools. (taking things like funding and location into consideration)

Your gender is an important and omnipresent deciding factor in who you are, the problem we have now is that far to many young people are oblivious to this. Again, private schools.

I feel I must point out that I only suggested doing this on the scale of classroom to classroom, I do believe that children socializing with the other gender is important, but I also think it is detrimental in class while they are supposed to be learning.

This is one myth that I feel necessary to dispel. Yes racial issues have tended to be on the extreme end on the scale of good to bad. No one denies (at the very least no one takes them seriously) that slavery was terrible or that the Holocaust was horrific.

My goal is attempt to get people to understand that discriminating against people for anything that they cannot control is not to be allowed.

Humans are astoundingly xenophobic. Period. That is historical and scientific fact. For you to say that racism, sexism, homophobia, islamophobia, and anti-semitism are anything other than unjust hatred of those who are born different from you is astonishingly short sighted. If the Holocaust had occurred to males instead of Jews, would it have been any less horrific?

The correct answer is no. Genocide of any group of people is wrong beyond the capability of words to describe.

No doubt at this point you are considering making a comment about how foolish it is to compare the struggles men go through to the struggles of the slaves or the Jews. And to that I have to respond that the only difference is the extent. (a large extent right now, but I do not doubt our ability to lessen the gap.)

I've said it before, ill say it again: Hyperbole is a very efficient method of determining how far ones hypocrisy extends.

There exist people in this world who would reenslave the blacks, who would give genocide of the Jews another go, and would destroy any chance of our species survival by killing 90% of the men. This is a fact. period. by claiming that hatred against certain groups is somehow worse than hatred of other groups, you are guilty of the same reasoning that justified these atrocities in the first place.

Either everyone is equal, or everyone is not equal. Period. There can not be degrees of equality.

And I found the rest of your comment very well written aside from perhaps a little naivety concerning how much effort should be put into enforcement of equality.
If there is a way to discriminate, people will find it. And if I'm wrong, then no harm is done. But if I'm right and we underestimate... Its better to plan for the worst and pray it doesn't happen than to pretend that some people wouldn't jump at the chance.

I'm saying that whether or not you can control something while relevant is not absolute in deciding how you treat them. Handicapped people cannot control being handicapped, and we still treat them differently, because many have very clearly defined needs which differentiate from those of non handicapped people, in this case I am referring to people who are paralized from the waist down so the obvious difference is stairs, we don't expect them to go up stairs to many places have ramps or elevators wherever necessary.

There is a difference between accepting differences and hating people, women are smaller and physically weaker, this is proven by science and readily observable by the average person and as such women are not expected to carry as much heavy weight as men in any given situation. white people burn more easily from ultraviolet radiation compared to, any other race, sorry but I can't see many instances where this would be relevant, but it still proves my point which is that different people tend to be different for a variety of reasons, whether it be skin colour, gender, height, weight, fitness level, education, upbringing, ect ect ect.

I agree, I am not suggesting hatred of any group for things that cannot control. (Feminists are a grey zone as it could be said their beheviour is simply in the "extreme female" range and caused only by some brain malfunction, but then again they aren't a demographic group, they are a political/religious group)

Everyone is unequal, you are unequal to me, I unequal to you, to claim otherwise is to either lie or be ignorant of an easily observed truth. I suggest we treat everyone as equally as we can based on nothing more then their merits. The few exceptions which I have to this are things like military which I believe should be male only, but that is due to a reason other than hatred, I accept kicking women out as discrimination and as a bad thing, but I priorotize national security and men's lives over the personal pride of a VERY small number of women.

I do not believe in "enforcing equality", I believe that discrimination takes effort and that if sexist laws and crap like that were removed that nobody would need to "enforce" equality. Of course my goal is equal oppertunity, not equal result, and the problem is that only one can exist.

I think there would undoubtly be indeviduals who discriminate against others, but I think that's a smaller problem when we currently have laws and mandates which actively discriminate and are accepted.

Sorry about what I am sure are many grammatical and spelling facepalms, I'm kinda tired.

They did not get screwed over by "girly" approach, the current approach is in the middle and it is definitely academic.

Idea that somebody says you have a penis so now sit here and listen for an hour and do not dare to make a sound while girls will cooperate on the solution of the problems (like real world job), have relaxed atmosphere and learn useful social skills at the same is horrible.

That would leave many men who are smart but unable to hold better job, talk to people and probably have nightmares for the rest of their life.

I was screwed over by automatically preferring females enough in my life, thank you very much.

On the other hand, my girlfriend learns the best when she just sits and listens. She is a talented mathematician. That system would probably have her working as a Walmart cashier.

The current approach is far to the left, it's just that due to the lack of any significant "right" it's harder to see.

I never suggested that, stop making strawman arguments. I simply suggest separating boys and girls so as to reduce the levels of distractions and stress. Both classes would learn in pretty much the same way but with subtle differences. For example boys tend to compete with one another, but will not compete with girls for multiple reasons both biological, social and because it is a bad idea. Girls on the other hand tend to do everything in groups, even when it's more efficient or even easier to do them separately, boys do not.

And so you know in the real world you need job skills to get a job, working in large groups to get things done is, believe it or not, NOT a job skill. A god skill is knowing how to get the job done by yourself.

You seem to be under the impression that school CLASSROOMS are for social education and that I am suggesting the prevention of any socializing. I am simply stating that 5 and a half hours of the ay be devoted to education, with an additional 1 and a half hours being made for socializing, the rest of the time when you are not at school you can do whatever you want.

Do you mean that you yourself preferred females or that others preferred females over you?

Then she doesn't need any affirmative action or social assistance to get her through life and wouldn't worry about both of those things going away, she in fact would probably be glad to see schools being made more science based opposed to social or feelings related crap.
