Last month was prostate cancer awareness and nobody did anything. This month everyone is participating in breast cancer awareness. I see it on the TV when I watch NFL games, I saw it when I went to watch a college football game a couple of weeks ago, and I saw it tonight when I went to watch my old HS football team. I guess this is what you get when you live in a patriarchy.

Not only that, but I'm pretty sure men can get breast cancer as well, not as common, but it happens.....do they not get the privilege of all these donations just because they don't own boobs that are slowly withering away? I mean, sure that's horrible, but it's painful and terrifying in either situation.

I don't find it remotely offensive that people support Breast Cancer Awareness, and the poster is accurate in that the large majority of victims of breast cancer are women. I do find it offensive that we don't support other types of cancer as heavily as breast cancer.

Also, I go to that school.

I wonder if it would be better if they moved Prostate Cancer awareness month to November to coincide with Movember which seems to have taken off in the last couple of years.
