Pardon me if this is a derailment, but I'm reminded of the Henrik Rummel erection drama. Much ado has been made by feminists over the objectification of female olympians, but nobody bats an eye over how the media can rake a man over the coals over an involuntary bodily function. Hell, he probably didn't even have an erection. Maybe he just has a big dick.

Imagine the fallout if a bunch of supposedly reputable media outlets made fun of a woman for having a camel toe, or for having a period blood stain on her uniform. Feminists would be screaming bloody murder.

I'm sorry, but what was wrong with her clothing? She looks very professional and composed, IMO.

Oh yeah, we noticed it. People comment she has a big ass, it's misogyny. People make fun of his "budgies" and it's perfectly cool, cos he's just a man. The other thing that also pisses me off is that female politicians are allowed to wear a great variety of fashions even while at work - male politicians, on the other hand, are allowed to wear only grey, blue, or black suits.

I think there is a crucial difference here, namely that Julia is being criticized for wearing clothes that are completely socially acceptable, based upon her physical appearance, while Tony is being criticized for wearing something that the majority would find unacceptable in most contexts.

I think the main problem with them commenting about her style in the first picture is that she is standing in a disaster zone where people may have died and instead of reporting about that the writer chose to criticise her clothing, which is frankly disgusting.

The second picture is two dudes walking around in bad swimming wear, who gives a shit if they criticise them? Obviously not the dudes themselves.
