I hate to complain about stupid people, but this appeared on my Facebook feed and I just couldn't help it. Because apparently dad knows nothing about taking care of the kids?

It's a joke, man. Every people group on the planet has them... including dads. If we can't laugh at ourselves (at least our own stereotypes) then we would be walking on eggshells all day.

My wife's Grandpa was your classic man's man, he worked his hands to the bone and loved restoring old cars. He also did his daughters' hair all the time and was a very loving man.

The fact that the "dad" used a zip-tie to put his kid's hair in a pony-tail tells me he is resourceful. Judging by the picture, perhaps the kid put his or her own ponytail in the zip-tie. I started putting my own hair up around age 8, I think.

This probably was during a kid's soccer game, as there are cars nearby, grass, and looks like folding chairs. This would also explain the need for her to have her hair up but couldn't find any other solution. This is being resourceful, and although this can be either the mother or the father, if this is the father then he is doing it right.
