The moderators of r/LadyMRAs used:

1: accusation of promoting violence, accusation of promoting violence against women,

2: repeated accusations of misogyny,

3: deflections and appeals to emotion when asked to actually address topics at hand,

4: and eventually banning an MRA from r/LadyMRAs to silence him completely.

That MRA was Factory2, someone Alanna has thought is a radical misogynist for some time.

Now this is not an iron clad indictment. If I had more solid evidence I would naturally use it. However it does paint a suspicious picture about the moderators of r/LadyMRAs. I encourage everyone to review this thread and this thread to form their own conclusions. As it stands, it does not look good.

If this trend continues and it becomes clear the moderators of r/LadyMRAs are not interested in helping the Men's Rights Movement, I would like the link to their subreddit removed from the sidebar. They can keep their subreddit, I just don't think it would be in our interest for obvious reasons to give them attention or make it appear they are our allies if they are - in fact - not our allies.

I would like to stress to certain people that removing a link in a sidebar is not a act of violence. It is a sensible cutting of ties in case a relationship has become dysfunctional. Some types of people are quite quick to redefine violence as something they do not find useful, so I felt this reminder was necessary.

Accusation of promoting violence and implying a promotion of violence against women to achieve a goal:

To say "We should not prioritize being nice over the truth" is not the same as "We should start being aggressive and violent." That is like saying if you don't like "up", you must like "down". That is fallacy because it does not respect the notion of having an absence of preference for either up or down or preferring the absence of both up and down. Conclusion: Not liking something does not mean you like its opposite.

You are stating Factory is advocating violence, by use of logical fallacy, putting words in his mouth. And you imply that Factory wishes to use force on women to coerce them until they "wise up". Was that a mistake?

Accusation of misogyny:

Vegibowl accusing Factory2 of misogyny as the first sentence in her first post to him.

Deflections and appeals to emotion:

Vegibowl responds to the question about methods of interfacing with the MRM with "I'm a mom who cares about my children" and then never answering that question.
