To be upfront and honest, I'm circumsized and glad to be cut. But that's not what we're dealing with these days, it is ritual genital mutilation and the idea of stopping it has merit.

That said, this is an easy battle to win. We need to push for a law that makes circumcision legal. It's that simple. We can make it a "religious freedom" issue and get all the conservatards on our side. Bam. Game over.

How you ask? You cannot make a law that pertains to only one gender. The wording of the law would be forced to include all circumcisions, and by proxy, would include female circumcision. You would force the will of the female population to join the fight against circumcision, and therefore the law that would likely pass would outlaw ALL circumcision.
