There were and are gender rights issues that face women, and if there is a movement to get women the equal rights they deserve then that's fantastic, and I think that this is what most people think of as 'feminism'.

Some people who want preferential treatment for women, or simply hate men, like to hide behind this word so they can deflect criticism. I think it's a mistake for the MRM to say we are against feminism, as in many people's minds this is equal to being a misogynist.

What we need to say is we are for equal rights for all, and equal treatment under the law for all people regardless of their gender, and fight against discrepancies on all sides. Who can disagree with that?

I don't think I'd say this is the origin of feminism (especially since historically it has been many things), but certainly the way feminist tropes are presently utilized by many women does seem to be a narrative for avoiding personal responsibility.

But to be quite blunt, that is generally a problem with women to begin with - the tendency to "otherize" what in a masculine context would be quickly recognized as a matter of personal morality.

I happen to agree that a great deal of the brokeness and dysfunction in society is a political matter. But I don't think women suffer uniquely from that dynamic. Nor do I think it totally absolves them from responsibility either - whether it because a great deal is being incorrectly attributed to external social causes, OR for the simple fact that even when this is the case (a fact conservative moralism does not like to acknowledge, sciences be damned) it really comes down precisely to those who perceive such problems to take ownership for the matter and resolve it as best as they can in their person.

Good show.

The "will you buy me and my friends drinks?" story jogged a memory for me.

I was in a bar several years back, with a buddy, waiting on a 3rd. There was a table of a dozen women, 22-25ish, celebrating a bachelorette party. Long story short, one of them got really angry at me for refusing her demand that I buy the whole table drinks. She also couldn't explain why I should do this, besides "don't you like girls?"

I didn't even interact with them before hand, I wasn't trying to chat up any of them. She seemingly picked a guy at random to harass for $150ish worth of drinks, and by the reaction she doesn't get told no too often... If it didn't work, they wouldn't do it, right?

I just wonder since you say the feminists who have advocated terrible things have suffered no consequences. What consequences should they suffer? I agree with exposing their ideas so that they may be dismantled, but exposing them personally is advocating and facilitating violence.

Anyway what I took away from your rant was: Feminists are using feminism as an excuse for whatever they do or whatever misfortune they suffer as it puts blame for it elsewhere.

I kind of agree with that. A lot of feminists are doing that. I don't think that's because they're feminists, but rather an artifact of most people being stupid. They'll do some hand waving and point elsewhere. I think it's important to not do the same.

Psychopathy is not a bad thing. It's a very broad term and people are all psychopaths to some extent.
