I was watching [GWW] (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TBzx-SMSwGE) earlier today. The note she left the video off on made me wonder if r/MensRights knew of a solution to the problem she outlines. (instinct repression versus letting feminists have their way by unleashing instinct)

So, I started looking for approaches here. Didn't find anything yet. However, I started going through the FAQ and ended up on this page.

Then I had the following light-bulb moment:

What if we helped to legalize gay marriage by redefining marriage, and not via civil-union (separate amendments creating a parallel marriage act)?

It would have more immediate repercussions on reforming divorce laws. (how do you decide custody when both guardians are male or female?)

I think it would also be the best place to start pushing for men's rights. What do the rest of you think?

Edit: I've come to realize this is a terrible idea because it wouldn't stop common law marriages or change how they are defined for opposite-sex marriages, or dealt with during 'divorce proceedings'.
