Hello, feminist bigot! Want women to make as much money as men? Support equal rights for fathers in family court. If women did not have automatc custody of children in divorce, they would have more time to do the equal work required to get equal pay.

Of course, feminist bigots are against every proposal to give fathrs equal rights in family court. Even modest proposals to give fathers a few rights (far short of equality) are opposed by the feminists and their Democratic puppets.

Unless the law specifically allows women with less experience in the same position to earn the same, I don't see how this can be a problem.

A teacher in my district with 10 years of experience is going to earn more than a teacher with 8 years, even if they teach the same grade and subject. The only problem I can see is if they somehow legislate that time taken as paternity leave must still count for seniority within a company. Then you have an issue with people taking the maximum leave allowed.

Do companies not have a policy not to disclose salary between coworkers? My Company does, we also have a very extensive review process for raises in which everything you do comes into play (late, absent, attitude dress, deadlines, performance even how tidy your office/work-space is). There is a lot to take into consideration even if two people start at the same time they will not end up with the same salary. So in a case like this if A found out that B is making a dollar more and sue for discrimination when it is not then how do companies perform their review do they pay women higher even if their work does not reflect it. I do the review for my team and I follow a strict guide set by the company which overall performance for that period is the main focus and pass that on to my boss who does a second review with interviews in which other subset are evenly included (late absent etc) this is then passed on to HR who conduct's another review on performance for that period but also go over the workers performance history from the time hired.

I might be okay with this bill.

First, I do not believe women with the same level of experience doing the same job are paid significantly less. Most of the gap you see has to do with the type of work, and how much experience and rating they have.

Second, the bill allows salary transparency. Companies can't punish you for discussing salary with your coworkers, so you can make an argument like, "Hey, this asshole work about 20 hours a week and gets $20000 more a year than I do?" as well as detailed wage comparisons across entire fields. This is what really scares companies more than some equal pay scale that will probably cost them nothing.

Not that the media will care. They will cherry-pick one or two companies with an imbalance and say, "See! Look at how much less she's paid!" While ignoring the larger picture or the job market as a whole.
