Yeah, you're fine legally if she hurts herself hitting you, the problem is she could say anything else happened and people will take it at face value.

Really, you aren't even using self defense, just blocking her, so you won't have to pull that out if you get in trouble. Besides, if she's assaulting you you are able to block her blow.
