Oh, and always wear protection.

I know you mean well, but i seriously hate this phrase with every ounce of my body. It's just not right that men have to slip on a pleasure hampering cock suit even though their partner is on birth control. So many couples around the world rely on simple birth control methods provided for women and have natural sex but no one complains about them. All of the sudden when a girl lies about being on birth control the argument turns to "should have worn a condom".

As a guy who is a victim of birth control fraud, this is the most offensive comment i could possibly come across. If you say things like "always wear a condom" you should also be against all the millions and millions of couples who do the exact same thing, only difference is the man trusted the women to be telling the truth and she lied.

This points out a huge flaw in our culture. Men either need a) birth control or b) Legal Paternal Surrender.

Yeah i agree it's just i think there's not enough awareness of the issue to young people. For example in sex ed or health class or whatever they call it these days, they could mention the risk men put themselves in when they trust the word of their female partner in terms of birth control.

My girlfriend takes the pill so i can see her take it everyday, this makes me feel much more comfortable. But that is only because she decided to take it at a convenient time every night when we are usually together. I'm not saying my girlfriend is untrustworthy it's just that i have been told "don't worry i'm on birth control" before, and that girl seemed trustworthy enough.

So basically a more well informed youth would be much better off knowing that girls can and do lie to get pregnant, sometimes in the effort to make a guy stay with them, sometimes in a selfish effort to have a child regardless of their partners wishes, sometimes for who knows what. In the end these boys growing up need to know that their lives could be absolutely torn apart should they trust a girl with their sperm.

I remember in my health class we had a girl who had killed her best friend because she was a drunjk driver come in and tell her story, it was really profound and had a real effect on a lot of the class. Kids need more stuff like that, it's a straight up in your face first hand experience that brings you to tears. I can't help but think my story could seriously change lives.

I would visit classrooms tomorrow if they would let me and give them first hand knowledge of the consequences.
