I was in high school and me and this other kid were arguing in the back of English class. The teacher said "Hey, what are you guys doing?" The other kid said: "Sir, this guy called me a fag". I said: "No I didn't!" The teacher said: "Shut up, you're both fags."

I loled so hard.

Or am I just missing something? What the hell does hair catching on fire have to do with anything? I read the Michael Jackson comment. Anyone should be concerned about fire, but the teacher should take precautions.

If you are overly-concerned to the point that you are having trouble functioning in a regular situation (i.e. class) then you aren't a fag, you may have an anxiety disorder.

Huh, the other day my Latin teacher told me I wasn't allowed to hug my male classmate (it was an ironic hug, it's sort of an in-joke between us), so my class jumped on her and accused her of being homophobic. She replies, "Oh, are they a gay couple?"

I, of course, instantly nod and go, "Yes, definitely, that is the truth." just to mess with her.

Anyway, I don't really understand your story, but I can agree that yeah, "fag" is a terrible word but it's even worse when teachers are discriminatory.
