From the blog and the comments on the blog, I'd deduce that boys and girls learn best under situations more suited to their personalities.

In other words, female-minded teaching won't appeal to boys, and vice-versa.

We've been saying this for how long, now?

Well, when it comes to education, we see little boys getting drugged and told to sit down, shut up, stop being active, and read a book. Then we wonder why they are fat and don't want to focus.

Boys like to be challenged.

Most boys find doing coursework over and over and over not challenging, so they don't bother.

Boys also have less dopamine than girls, making them less patient. Turns out 10-15 minutes of physical activity a day can make up for the difference.

I think the main point I got was that the boy wasn't learning because he was made to read the first two books again and again or he didn't like them, the dad saying 'smart boy' doesn't indicate 'well done for refusing education' but 'yes those books are aimed at girls, of course he doesn't want to read them/same books'
