Oh dear. It's my fault really, i used the far too Australian / English term "take the piss out of" to indicate that they were mocking her. On the other hand, i'm sure we've all heard far more bizarre things from real feminists. You know, like Otep and Valerie Solanas calling for the menz to be wiped out, Mary Daly saying men were contaminating the universe, things like that...

Seriously has there been any actual threats issued, or they just assume it will happen? Sounds like they have an over-inflated opinion of her importance to compare her to such historical figures. I really doubt anyone is even considering assassinating her. More likely they are trying to make such a big deal of her "bravery" in order to gain the spotlight.

And because she is unwilling to stand idle as white Republicans repeal our freedoms – she’s going to be shot.” When asked if she’d ever had an abortion herself the student was unequivocal – “I have not had an abortion yet, but I promise that when Cybill Shepherd is gunned down I’m going to get pregnant so I can get an abortion in her honor. It’s the least I can do.”
