A little backstory: it was a small party of just two guys and two girls, and they were drinking pretty heavily. They all know each other pretty well, and until this point they were friends.

Part way into the night, things started to get rowdy, but not out of control. My friend initiated a kiss with the girl (we'll call her Nancy), and Nancy kissed him back. The party then continued for another few hours and everyone was laughing and joking. everyone went home, and all seemed to be well until the next day whe my friend found out that Nancy was filing sexual assault charges against him. Nancy and my friend are both RAs in the student apartments so this directly affects his job and his education. here's the tricky part; Nancy was raped last year at a different school, which is why she transferred. So far she has only talked to the university residence people, but she has started that if the punishment isn't to her satisfaction she will go to the police.

I can see that maybe she feels angry about what happened to her at her last school and she wants some sort of justice, but how can she be stopped from ruining my friends life?
