An American divorce is unilateral (one person decides) and no-fault (no reason required). This contributes, when combined with large payoff for women, to America having one of the highest divorce rates in the world of about 200 countries. Read: adultery is not required.

I think if someone is citing being unfulfilled but have no reason to blame their partner they should reevaluated what fulfills them before trying to project responsibility onto that partner.
