I feel it would be relevant if they had been sentenced, and then we could match it to cases of boys doing the same and compare sentences. But they haven't, so there's still a (small) chance they could be sentenced appropriately.

This isn't something that belongs here. Both girls equally engaged in the fight, just one was killed (no weapons) unintentionally. They were also 11. It's voluntary manslaughter, but your title is misleading, and this does not belong here.
