This is how I noticed the roles have changed. A few days ago I was watching the Flintstones for a flashback, and I noticed the obvious misogyny that took place there. Wilma wanted to go to a movie audition to be an extra, and she came home to ask Fred. Fred wasn't listening to her. She got mad and said, "He didn't even let me ask him if I could go! But then again he didn't have an opportunity to say no." Then Fred went with out even telling Wilma. Obviously, that was a blatant case of putting the woman down. Yet at the same time, that episode aired in the early seventies I believe.

Now look at today. Does the same go on? Do women beg men for permission to go out and have some fun once in a while? I have never in my 22 years of life seen that happen. Not only have I not seen that happen, I've seen it reversed. Men now beg women to do things men do, and women act like its our pleasure to ask them. I do believe it is polite to let your partner know your plans, but that wouldn't bug me so much if women didn't act like we constantly oppress them. The only, and I mean only place I see that happening is in a corporate work place due to a glass ceiling. All I have to say is it irritates me when women complain about misogyny when they have gotten the long end of the stick in the past two generations.
