Artistic plagurism is far from new. It happens in all genre, and across racial and gender lines. People take the songs, pictures and what have you that they like and Use them. I think it's a broader social issue than just genders, but I also think it is more localizedto those that choose to do it rather than entire groups. How much scholarly work truly belongs to the stated author?how many names were tacked on at the last minute because of minor editing or theory scrutinization?

On the whole I'm glad this is called out, but I don't know if it's a specific enough thing to classify or really codify as privilege, or abuse of power by a group.

In two minds about posting this one as probably of limited interest to most. Kind of a "Women Behaving Badly in Art" post. Basically, our would-be female Lichtenstein makes exact copies of comic book pages by respected figures like Jack Kirby, then sells them for big chunks of cash.

This has little to do with men's rights unless you can prove to me otherwise.

A woman doing a bad thing is not a men's rights issue by default. People do bad things generally.

I don't really see what you're trying to get at here. Plagiarism isn't exactly limited to a specific gender and beyond that, we're getting into a very subjective area involving art and then we get into Warhol and shit and who wants to do that at this time of the day man?
