Once again, what is a post like this supposed to achieve?

Showing a dead soldier isn't going to convince a feminist about anything. You think a feminist has never seen a picture of a dead soldier before?

"Men start wars" the feminists will once again say. "These men too are victims of the Patriarchy," the feminists will continue.

And to be fair here, considering that most of the world's leaders are men, and that most troops are put in harms way by those male leaders, I think we could be making far more convincing arguments against male privilege than this.

That is what happened to one of my great uncles on Iwo Jima. Though he was cut in two by a machine gun burst from a japanese bunker. He was leading the charge to take it on the last day of fighting on that island. He was nominated for the CMH but was awarded the silver star.

After the war my great grandfather was able to bring him home to be buried with the family. He would then tend the grave of his son until he was unable to get down on his knees; then he would just sit in his chair and weep. They are now buried together.

Whole lot of privilege there.
