FAQ 22: Abortion / birth control / other religious beliefs
The mens' rights movement is not founded upon religious beliefs.
Take the proper precautions to ensure that when a baby issues, it's one that you can care for lovingly and responsibly, and that a baby issues only under those circumstances. As I said elsewhere, I advise avoiding sex because the chance for a healthy marriage is miserable, and the chance of putting kids in a badly contentious family situation is almost always unfavorable.
Abortion and Birth Control are presented as wedge issues, and can turn into religious / atheist bashing efforts quick.
The mens' rights movement is not founded upon religious beliefs.
Some people have religious beliefs, and some have other religious beliefs, and some have beliefs that are not religious. This is not the place to preach them.
If you're called to be Buddhist, be Buddhist, or if you're called to be Christian, Catholic or Protestant, be Christian, Catholic or Protestant, or (insofar as you honestly think you're called) worship whatever other gods / goddesses / flying food monster(s) you're called to worship.
Or be a convinced atheist.
In any case, educate your conscience (or your otherwise-named 'sense of right and wrong') and act according to it.
Treat your own beliefs, and other people's beliefs with respect.
But don't feel the immediate need to draw the lines in the sand that some person instructs you to draw, and don't justify murder of anyone (or theft, or deceit, or rape, any other wrongful violence).
Note that the mensrights FAQ on l/g/b/t/ issues also links here, as does the FAQ on the age of consent and probably some other questions likely to form some kind of religious litmus test.
In any case, educate your conscience (or your otherwise-named 'sense of right and wrong') and act according to it.
