Up until the recent outcry, this book was REQUIRED summer reading for middle and high school students.

How was this originally deemed acceptable? I'm certain the book did not examine how the woman was a rapist, and should be thrown in jail, and marked for the rest of her life on a list of sex offenders. It prolly went on to talk about how much of "beautiful thing, lovemaking was, between two women".

Makes me sick.
