Summary - broke up with my ex (distance), talked about getting back together when she came back. Comes back - says she still has lots of feelings but is trying to block herself from gaining more. Just wants to be friends for the time being b/c of starting work - told her that's not going to be possible as I'm not putting up with that. She was upset. I left.

Am I holding frame or am I an idiot? I don't believe in "the one" as there are several million potential candidates in this country alone, but for disclosure I do still care about her a lot. Just don't want to waste my time.
