South African Medical Association denounces circumcision of infants

I had a feeling that an African nation would be the first to denounce the practice instead of taking a neutral position as many other countries' medical associations have. Many of the crusaders against female genital cutting in Africa are adamantly opposed to any genital cutting. This is great news and may get some of the people in the West who deny the similarities between female and male genital cutting to reconsider their positions.
