i think these women are just shocked at the way men are to each other naturally, people can and do drop their own gender filters when anonimity is introduced.

i think they complain because they are simply not used to people not tip toeing around their feelings.

A "surface feminist" is offended by lighthearted sexism against women on reddit, starts a post about sexism and slut-shaming, completely disregarding sexism against men, by abusing a basic form of female privilege through the use of emotional manipulation(i.e. "it makes me sad when you do this") to get her point across. Then a onslaught of misandry, shaming(extra irony points for using virgin/slut shaming against men to argue against slut-shaming against women) and white-knighting ensues; which is then up-voted

It's posts like this that make we wonder how many redditors are actually female instead of male. We tend to associate all stupid and dirty jokes to be the realm of men but this isn't always so. People also tend to associate female bashing to men but that also isn't always the case. I am thinking about the case where a blogger got sued for slander by a super model, the blogger did nothing more than blog about how fat and ugly and bitchy she was. Feministing even covered it, before the identity was revealed, and they, the media and feminists, all assumed it was a male blogger. It turned out to be a woman.

Anyways, kitcken jokes and other immature jokes are not just the domain of men and I really wonder if reddit is completely male dominated.

Reddit is a social network and just going off of my real life most users of social networks are women and not men.
