I don't know if these men were innocent or guilty.

But I do find it ironic that the Feminist Left, which cheerleads the Police State at every opportunity, is surprised when stuff like this happens.

When you remove all the restraints from the government to "protect you" you also empower the government to hurt you. Women pushed away men and married Big Government. What will they do when Big Government becomes an abusive sociopath?

First of all, she was drunk and unable to consent. In the state of New York, that’s rape.

Drunk and unable to consent? Legally how do you measure this? Do you simply tell drunk women "I'm sorry I know you want to have sex but you're drunk so this is legally rape"? From a legal standpoint this is quite vexing. Ethically one could argue that yes if someone is drunk they should not be interacted with sexually but how can something so vague be legislated correctly?

Police are not a taxicab, clearly there is some sort of personal relationship beyond what has been directly stated if they brought her home instead of a cell to sober up.

Cuddling, singing? They were invited into her apartment?

Professionally I'd say the police obviously violated protocol by bringing her home instead of detaining her at the station and further violated protocol by accepting her invitation into her apartment. Do I think they're rapists? No. I am sure there is much more to this story than what has been explicitly stated.

This case stinks a lot. If a guy can be outraged at police abuses and brutality (which, in line with other forms of violence) likely happen mostly to other men (you know like the 90% in prison), this case should provoke outrage just the same. Forget the politicized aspects of rape charges that screw innocent guys, wrong is wrong. The cops clearly violated protocol in a highly suspicious way. We have a system that led a jury to acquit based on lack of evidence, but it's still good to keep in mind that shit like this does a lot of damage to men's interests.
