Quick note.

The state of Illinois has an "anti-bullying" statute which includes "cyber-bullying." The kid's list falls under that statute as the list includes racial slurs and other insults which are especially out of bounds for teens.

Karen Owen's "fuck list," while denigrating is something done by and to adults. If any of the guys on her list decided to take personal action against her, they would be within their rights unless she somehow obtained legal permission to post their info.

Dale Jones, father of one of the girls, said that while he welcomed the arrest,he was concerned that a disorderly conduct charge was not serious enough of a response for a “very serious offense that affected many people.”

Still, he said, “I’m gratified that the investigation continued, and that charges are being filed. I’m hopeful they consider additional charges as they gather more evidence.”
