if the typical role of the beta is to be a "provider" why does TRP put so much value in high income?

I understand that a certain level of money is necessary to maintain a comfortable lifestyle but as someone who wants to abandon my blue pill conditioning, why should I strive to gain provider traits beyond having comfortable money? in my experience some alphas have money but a majority of them literally don't give a fuck and will fuck your girlfriend even if you pull up to her house in a mazarati. please explain.
