Misogyny is "hatred of women". It is easy to understand how you could mistake "men's rights" discourse (since "andrist" appears to not have been coined as a word but should be the parallel to "feminist") for misogyny when extreme feminists ("femi-nazis" or "misandrists") attack anything pro-male as being anti-female.

Feminism embraces a wide variety of different viewpoints. My applause to you if you are one of the newer breed that believes (and hopefully fights for) gender equality instead of female privilege. To understand why many men have a problem with feminism, look at the word and its origin:
* Femin+ism = Of/Relating to females/women/feminine + doctrine: a belief (or system of beliefs) accepted as authoritative by some group or school (also "a philosophy").
Where in that definition does it talk about equal rights for men and women? Feminism, at its root, is concerned with women's rights - sometimes to the exclusion of the possibility of equal rights.

Read more of the articles/commentary on this sub. You will find both anti-feminist rhetoric (and your post here is very close to anti-male rhetoric) and those just looking for balanced/equal treatment - in politics, in society, in law. You will find examples of how the pendulum has swung far from "men's privilege" to instead privilege women. If you don't believe that could possibly be true, that women could not possibly have privilege over men in anything, then you are just trolling here and have not read any of the posts or linked articles.

It's funny to me that you talk about how we can't get sex if we believe in men's rights and equality of the sexes. * A male feminist. But not just any kind of feminist - only the ones that subscribe to YOUR brand of feminism.
* A "nice guy" - which usually means "a subservient male" but I'll let you define what you mean by "nice".
* Admits he is privileged. I'll give you a 1/2 point on this one. I'll admit that men have a few privileges that women do not. Can you admit the opposite (women have privileges that men do not)? Not according to what you posted.
* Admits that "feminism is the answer to our problems." Not even close. "Gender equality" would be the answer to many problems, but not all.

Last, since you are female (presumably), don't presume to tell men what a "real man" is. There are just as many types of men as there are types of women. Not all women are feminists, not all men are misogynists, most of each lie somewhere toward a moderate belief system in their gender politics. Starting your post with ad hominem attacks - calling us "boys" and "mens misogynists" - is classic trolling. Just trying to provoke a "response in kind" so you can say "See? I was right. They're all jerks." No doubt you will get some responses like that. And some, probably shorter, responses like mine. Feel free to ignore us - after all, we aren't "real men" nor are we the misogynists you want us all to be. And while you claim to "love men", you're posting shows you are actually closer to a misandrist who thinks the only good man is the one beneath her feet.
