I disagree - being armed with facts just makes sense no matter if you are MRA or feminist or somewhere in between. Knowing facts isn't 'sad' nor should requesting them be considered insulting. All debates should be framed within a factual framework - its when you don't ask for citations that it moves from fact to opinion or feelings.

Honestly. This would be something to point at as to why mens issues, while many are very real, can be hard for some.to take seriously at times. Its art. The cavass is painted by the artists involved, not reality or social norms. I think we have a ways to go before a march and tbh- wed need to weed out some of TRPers, all the Incels and the alt right for our messaging to be looked at w any legitimacy. The only way for a march to work is with an absolute dropping of anti feminist rhetoroc and a focus on what we want(end MGM, Equality in family courts, end the sentencing disparity). Otherwise the soundbytes that the anti mrm crowd get would fuel them how big red for example fueled this side.

The goal, at least for me - is equal rights for all. The marble(rights) should sit in the middle of the table. If one side is pushed up or down, the marble moves out of the middle causing an unbalance. The goal is to have the marble sit still in the middle, with everyone being happy with their equal share. We may never achieve perfect equality, but we can get close. I'm happy to bring trans men up with all men.
/r/MensRights25/07/17 08:32 PM

There's something of a difference between "the falsely accused are also victims" and "being falsely accused is drastically worse than being raped." The falsely accused ARE victims AND being falsely accused is worse than being raped. That does NOT mean that being raped is ok or good or something like that. I just would rather be raped than arrested for rape.
/r/MensRights13/01/16 02:23 PM

I guess identifying that those accused of crimes false are also victims makes me insensitive. . . gotcha.
/r/MensRights12/01/16 10:07 PM

Depends. If you are accused of rape by someone and the report is made to the police, you 100% do not pass go and go to jail. Then you have to get bailed out, make the news, etc.
/r/MensRights12/01/16 10:06 PM

I'm sure it's quite terrible. But I'd rather get brutally jumped in a fistfight than goto prison for 5 years. I'd definitely rather endure a singular attack than a prison cell. The math is simple here. At no point am I saying one is good. Both suck. But think sucking for years is worst than sucking for hours. Time is my most valuable commodity. But only when it comes with freedom.
/r/MensRights12/01/16 09:24 PM
-2

I think it's worse. By a lot too.one lasts an hour or 2. One lasts a lifetime. One leads to more rapes. Imprisonment, impoverishment, assaults, attacks, embarassment, ostracization, and many other consequences. A false rape conviction or accusation is just as bad and likely worse to me. It's not the same to everyone but /r/prison fucking sucks. So does losing friends, money and family.

I think it was a miscarriage of justice. The girl's mother, Auliea Hanlon, says that Rambold's sexual abuse was a 'major factor' in her daughter's suicide. True or not, we don't know. /r/MensRights02/11/13 07:35 AM
1

most kids today are born out of wedlock. if the relationship is non existent then PTO creates an opportunity for the father to establish his paternal rights.
/r/MensRights02/11/13 07:25 AM
1

Heres a cookie.
/r/MensRights02/11/13 07:20 AM
1

yes. and by offering pto for both genders, instead of just time off, it gives the father a far greater chance of remaining in the picture. Either by way of providing the time to file for custody and having a better shot at getting it because they file early or by way of allowing the father to bond with the child and mother. Kind of hard to afford a lawyer after taking 2-4 weeks off to see your new kid. the reality of America is that most americans live in poverty. Its going to remain that way in…
/r/MensRights02/11/13 07:17 AM
1

Idk, why is FGM a big issue?
/r/MensRights02/11/13 07:10 AM
1

Yes - its not about the kid or the choice to have a kid. Its about improving the quality of life for everyone, both genders.
/r/MensRights02/11/13 07:07 AM
2

The problem is we don't have a job marketplace that allows choice without coercion.
/r/MensRights02/11/13 07:01 AM
1

“You know, one day you have seven kids and 10 grandkids, and the next day you have nobody,” McCann said. Ouch.
/r/MensRights02/11/13 03:36 AM
1

I'm not asking to do it just for them. It'd be for both of us. They are asking for it and will get it. Then well be further behind because we didn't ask when the change was coming. Its coming under Hilary for sure. 100% chance
/r/MensRights01/11/13 07:38 PM
1

Yes. Indeed. Why not make 4-6 weeks paid so people can actually take that timr
/r/MensRights01/11/13 07:36 PM
2

Anecdotes aren't evidence
/r/MensRights01/11/13 07:35 PM
1

Actually its not about deserving it. Its about doing what's best for the happiness of as many people as possible
/r/MensRights01/11/13 07:35 PM
1

Why would you be bothered by what others have or done have?
/r/MensRights01/11/13 12:37 PM
3

When did we start caring what they think?
/r/MensRights01/11/13 12:32 PM
1

Yea- I mean I still believe in a smaller government, but once automation starts taking over, once 3d printers become mainstream it will follow shortly thereafter, then socialism becomes more or less a required system - at that point the landowners are the ones with a monopoly on the wealth. Lots of people may not see it, but the ultra wealthy are buying up swathes of land and real property at incredible rates because the rates of return on other investments just aren't there anymore.
/r/MensRights01/11/13 05:57 AM
2

And everyone has to be the change they want to see in the world. One day at a time

The problem I have with my current libertarian leanings is the realization that I have a skilled trade and have come to the conclusion that my job could be replaced by a robot. Followed by the realization that most jobs can be replaced by a robot.
/r/MensRights01/11/13 05:41 AM
2

Yea... Thats not how it should have to work though. The systems largely broken, its on all of us to try to fix it.
/r/MensRights01/11/13 05:23 AM

I've met quite a few.
/r/MensRights01/11/13 05:23 AM
2

Or they come from situations where they fight tooth and nail to keep the father out of the picture.
/r/MensRights01/11/13 05:17 AM
2

That means one of you will be working the miserable night shift. :-(
/r/MensRights01/11/13 05:13 AM
1

paid less isn't a real thing. . . shit you would know, your about to be a doctor who is going to make more than the male nurses. maybe you should take less pay so the male nurses dont feel bad.
/r/MensRights01/11/13 03:05 AM
5

we get no paid leave. dont think we have a national standard yet
/r/MensRights01/11/13 02:49 AM
1

Robots are the ones who build robots bro. Its not to incentivize having babies, its to improve the nations quality of life.
/r/MensRights01/11/13 02:28 AM
3

They can't demand it anymore from their employers- unions are gone or so weak that they'd be unable to get it. Hell most jobs that people have now could easily be replaced by a robot.
/r/MensRights01/11/13 02:02 AM
9

Because we live in a world where a 2 income household is more or less mandatory to remain above the poverty line. The reason you would pay it is the same reason you pay health insurance for your employees. Because the workers demand it and its the industry standard.
/r/MensRights01/11/13 01:43 AM
4

Only an absolute retard would have a kid to get out of 4-6 weeks of work. This would give the single dads time to file for custody too.
/r/MensRights01/11/13 01:40 AM
4

but its also one that would benefit both genders and help lubricate the feminist la resistance.
/r/MensRights01/11/13 01:28 AM
3

By demanding both we are acknowledging that both genders should be active in children's lives. Most people in America live beneath the poverty line - thats not changing because we aren't incentivizing the creation of higher paying jobs.
/r/MensRights01/11/13 01:26 AM
4

Your assumption assumes that all jobs have PTO. They don't. Give Americans more time off is a good thing.
/r/MensRights01/11/13 12:57 AM

Only 4 countries do not have paid maternity leave. USA is one of them. Why not push for both that and paternity leave

Im a man. I do whatever the fuck I want, whenever the fuck. In no circumstance will I ever cross the road to make others more comfortable. If uncomfortable, they can cross the road on their fucking own like a grown up. In the case of children, if I make them uncomfortable by being outdoors in a neighborhood, well, their parents are likely horrible people.

/r/MensRights04/09/13 03:23 PM

Yes. Based on experiences that have shown me they have nothing to offer me in most cases. I have a limited time on this planet and that time is better spent talking to other people who actually have something to offer by way of an actual exchange of ideas vs preaching.

pretty much exactly right. Its like saying "I love you, were married, but if we ever decide to part we cant fuck each other over" To me, its a simple acknowledgement that no one is perfect and you can never, ever predict someone else's actions indefinitely.

The problem is hes the preachy type, except in this case, hes the preachy cuckold submissive. He comes home to see his wife getting railed by 5 strange dudes and then goes on and blogs about how awful men are. David has a problem. Well, a lot of problems. Lets not pile on guys. He has a pretty serious mental disorder. He is a self loathing weirdo who is nice to feminists in hopes that they will let him touch them. In other words. Hes a creepy ass dude. He spends his days blogging about how awful his own gender is at life. I mean, fuck, I can't even wrap my head around why he does this. Brainwashing? Stockholm Syndrome? I offered to meet him for a beer last time I was in Chicago, my offer went un-answe…

Could they claim it is rape later? Sure. Does the word rape have any meaning anymore? No, not really. Thanks feminism.

Because what if they picked wrong the first time? Does that make them sullied or dirty or broken? No. It means they gave someone a chance and it didn't work out. Thankfully they didn't get forced to marry that person. Your focus on sexual purity is creepy and it will lead to you raising fucked up sex-negative children, just like you. You know most girls shower after sex right? All the dick cooties get washed away.

I don't find a problem with this. . . . This isn't a sexual assault advocacy book. Its simply trying to help people get laid. If you did this to someone who wasn't willing, then itd be sexual assault. Most women however, in the context of a sexual encounter want a man to take the lead.

Generally, the essential elements of assault consist of an act intended to cause an apprehension of harmful or offensive contact that causes apprehension of such contact in the victim. or a threat or attempt to inflict offensive physical contact or bodily harm on a person (as by lifting a fist in a threatening manner) that puts the person in immediate danger of or in apprehension of such harm or contact

If someone walks up to you and gropes you (which means, grabs your boobs, grabs your dick) thats sexual assault. Grope isn't used to describe any other sort of touching. grope Noun - An act of fondling someone for sexual pleasure. Sidenote: I think they are wrong though, wouldn't it still be a verb?
/r/MensRights06/06/13 06:09 AM
2

If someone is touching you in a sexual manner, its sexual assault. I'm not talking about someone casually brushing their hand or arm against you, I'm talking about someone groping you. Thats sexual assault.
/r/MensRights06/06/13 06:02 AM

So we are clear: You are suggesting that violence is not an acceptable response to a sexual assault?
/r/MensRights06/06/13 05:48 AM

If someone gropes me, I'm gonna hit em if its something that makes me uncomfortable. I don't see the problem with that. Unwanted touching is probably going too far. But if I walked up and grabbed a girls boobs, I'd expect a slap or punch.

As I get it: If a girl won't kiss/fuck you, then shes not worth your time. As people who get friend zoned get it: Maybe if I'm nice to her she will let me touch her I don't see a problem with that. It goes both ways. I've friendzoned girls, then gone n plowed through their friends before... so I don't really understand why anyone thinks that attraction is as simple as 'being nice' or 'doing nice things' when we all know its much more complex than that. AFAIK people who bitch about the friendzone…

I stated a fact. Consensual sex requires consent. The onus is on both parties to obtain it. I don't understand why being friends is the bad thing. I don't personally have time for it, but if the girl or guy just wants a friend and the other wants more its gonna create a situation but its a non men's rights issue. Being led on? Ones naivety is ones own problem
/r/MensRights04/06/13 12:19 AM
1

I'm not sure what is wrong w the friend zone. Not everyone is meant to be a lover I didn't deny its existence. I just know that its no ones fault that someone is in the friends one but their own. Want out of it? Then move on to the next girl
/r/MensRights03/06/13 10:47 PM

Being led in has nothing to do with rights.....you have no right to know what someone else is thinking. I'm no white Knight I just know that I do not have a right to know their thoughts nor do they get mine. Its quite clear you aren't familiar with my posting history here.
/r/MensRights03/06/13 08:53 PM
1

There is no such thing as 'being led on'. Being led on means you weren't able to read the social cues that she was giving you that said "Shes not going to fuck you" If the outcome was intentional (its not for most women) - then well, if you weren't fucking her, what were you doing buying her anything?
/r/MensRights03/06/13 03:01 PM

Yes, relationships are about reciprocity. However, being friendzoned means the girl isn't attracted to you - the other half of reciprocity.. I'm not creep shaming anyone. I'm calling 'nice guys who are only nice so they can touch a girl' creeps.
/r/MensRights01/06/13 12:12 AM
-1

Its a nonsensical comparison. But do what you want. Slut shaming is just being an asshole to people who enjoy sex. Bitching about being friendzoned is just a result of a girl not being attracted to you and you feeling like because you were nice you are entitled to touch her. That means you were nice to touch her. Which means you are fucking creepy. The only reason a 'nice guy' gets 'friendzoned' is because the woman could tell he wasn't genuine about being nice or shes just not attracted to him.…

It once published a list created by [2] /u/manboobz aka David Futrelle (not doxxing, he goes by this on reddit quite a bit), an anti-male blogger who believes that any man who would want to stop 100% of the discrimination on the basis gender are sexists. Actually, the PUA isn't unethical or manipulative. They aren't saying "Hey baby I love you lets be together forever" to get laid because well, that doesn't work. However prison is for punishment. Rewarding women for showing up to prison pregnant only perpetuates the cycle. If you are about to go to jail or you commit crimes while pregnant you should not be encouraged to breed. (I'm not saying they shouldnt breed at all ever) because all of the sudden their jail sentences suck a lot less than the other inmates. They get better food, better housing and get to spend time with their loved ones. That's not punishment.

In this context, Woman is defined as 'straight female'. Women like being challenged. No one wants to hang out with the person who just worships you or is clinging to you. . . They want someone who doesn't give a fuck. This is really true of most humans.

Honestly, my friends are all alpha as hell. Only a few of them have slept w less than 100 women by age 25. They don't have time nor would they care if a friend wanted to call themselves 10% female. Theyd be like whatever and move to a new topic. Its not something anyone with any decency is going to freak out about or spend time worrying about. If I felt that way and it was a problem, I'd find better friends. I know none of mine would give a shit, neither would I.

She works there? Thats not going to be something you can overcome. Better bet is to try to get her to understand she needs to feel like her dad is in her life. Start a journal. Give it to her when the child is old enough to appreciate it. Let them read your thoughts. Work on it every few weeks.

Go for it. I'd recommend doing a few things. 1) Work up a post - Start tagging all of them in the title as [MR Wiki] as a prefix to the post or something similar to denote what project they are for, as that way the subreddits users will get used to seeing and then eventually automatically upvoting them based on previous experience and knowledge of the project. Don't post them in the evening, esp not this late. Traffic is way down in the evening. Post em in the morning- between 8-10am usa time if…

Under § 2.401 of the Texas Family Code, an informal marriage can be established either by declaration (registering at the county courthouse without having a ceremony), or by meeting a three-prong test showing evidence of (1) an agreement to be married; (2) cohabitation in Texas; and (3) representation to others that the parties are married. NOW opposed the idea of shared custody. Men's rights activism is a post feminism egalitarian movement. Most women who claim to be feminists either tow the party line or they are free thinkers and sympathize with our movement.
/r/MensRights29/04/13 07:01 AM

So what are you actually doing about to change it? Feminist groups are actively working against mens groups trying to fix something that should be considered condescending to them to begin with. . .
/r/MensRights29/04/13 06:29 AM
15

Family and criminal court biases would likely be the most serious ones. Men are less likely to get custody, more likely be ordered to pay child support and more likely to be put in prison for committing the same crime as a woman. The fact that an entire gender is treated more harshly under the law is a pretty glaring flaw in our legal system.

Title 9 creates discrimination against men. The way the law is written doesn't account for the way it is enforced or the way judges choose to interpret the law. It comes as no surprise that someone who looks at the world through the shape-shifting projection of a human rights discrimination magnifying lens would instinctively frame her fall from grace in details of gender, skin colour and alleged political bias. Modern feminism in a nutshell.

I’m starting a new mens rights movement that I’m calling, creatively enough, “The New Mens rights movement.” I've been a poster on reddit's mensrights subreddit, but have grown increasingly unhappy with what I'm seeing there. So, I've decided to start my own. http://www.reddit.com/r/avMRA/ there doesn't seem to be anything here I don't think I've ever seen him post on /r/mrmeta or send a modmail. Be the change you want. If you guys want an issue addressed, PM the moderators. Shit - If I thought …

If he wants to, more power to him. That said, it will emasculate him as your dad has expressed. The tradition exists to identify the children's father. The father could be anyone, but the mother is always the one who pushed the child out of her hips. As far as your relationship goes? Do what makes you both happy. Thats more important that what anyone thinks.

But when the focus is on women’s oppression Thats not our focus. Thats your focus. Take “safe spaces,” for example. They are exactly what they sound like. And when one of you shows up online and comments about how men are owed something, or how they are the real victims, or some other plea for validation, you are invading a safe space set up to talk about an oppressed group’s problems. I understand. I'm really disappointed that this wasn't the top link today: http://www.reddit.com/r/MensRights/comments/1bklj2/canadian_association_for_equality_responds/ Its actually news related to this sub. CAFE is a big org and essentially endorsed the MRA movement today.

If she comes from a well off family shes a fucking idiot if she marries you without one. Respect that. I would give the same advice to a woman who is marrying someone from a well off family. A lawyer could take you to the cleaners because they are going to know the tricks of the trade and won't have to spend $$ on a lawyer.
/r/MensRights03/04/13 03:47 AM

If you love her, sign it and live happily ever after. Make sure you get your own lawyer to review it to make sure you look after your own interests- such as any risk of alimony from you to her, child custody settlement issues (get split custody and limit where either of you can move without giving up custody), protect any inheritance you might get and you'll be fine. You should make sure to put in the prenup that you are in no way responsible for her student loans or any other debt accrued befor…

Throwing the balls at players and calling people faggots seemed to cross the line. Then again, if none of the players were bothered by the ball throwing then I only have a problem with the casual use of the word faggot. Throwing balls at people as a coaching method.... does it work? If it does then I'm ok with it. Its fucking division 1 NCAA basketball. Toughen the fuck up. I'm going to mod everyone here to /r/free_women if you want to create a free speech feminist subreddit. Do it! I've had the sub for 3 years after feeling upset about being banned from /r/women for something stupid.

It being a rule means its a rule. It doesn't make it right or wrong. It just makes it a rule. If you don't follow the rules, you don't have some inherent right to post there. Its their space. If they wish to rule with an iron fist, I will disagree but there's no point in bitching about it. Simply take your opinions elsewhere instead of trying to engage people who don't want to have tough conversations. /r/feminism isn't /r/mensrights . They have different rule sets. Lol. What high horse? They have their rules. I didn't make them. However if you expect to be able to be free from their rules, then well, don't expect to be able to post in demians sub. Just like if someone started violating rules here, they wouldn't be allowed to post here for much longer either. . . .
/r/MensRights02/04/13 11:16 PM

I do find deminian to be mostly reasonable and yes, its definitely hard to be feminist without being hypocritical when defining feminism as an egalitarian movement. The rules are there for a reason, top level comments are supposed to be from a feminist perspective. Its a smaller feminist subreddit but its certainly better than feminisms....

How have you heard patriarchy defined? Do you believe patriarchy exists? Why or why not? Doesnt exist. Anything evidence to counter it is considered evidence of its existence. What is your opinion on privilege politics (female privilege, white privilege, cis privilege, etc)? How do you define privilege? Made up shit that people say to discount the opinions of those in majority groups.
