So... you're getting one side of the story, and blindly, automatically giving your support?

I'm not saying the guy shouldn't see his son. But we don't know the whole story here. We don't know if the mother has any good reasons why she might be hesitant for visitation or if she's just being a horrible person. We don't know anything about the entire situation at all.

Further... is making a Facebook group the best way to garner support when it comes to an issue as serious as this? Why take the risk of appearing to slander another person, whether they deserve it or not, in an attempt to manipulate others? Wouldn't all this time be much better served in doing something about the situation, such as going to family court and making the right thing happen, in the best interest of the child?

edit: I found the father's actual facebook instead of the group, and he's doing exactly what I suggested above and taking the issue to the courts, which is awesome. I still think that it's not a good thing to create FB groups that have specific info of kids in them because I feel it is borderline exploiting the child. I hope that the courts are able to hear both sides and rule in favor of what is best for the boy.

I'll probably get downvoted for this, but reading the public fighting that these two are getting into, frankly, makes me wonder if either of them is a very good parent. You don't air your dirty laundry in public. If you lack the discretion to deal with this thing responsibly, then I question if your judgment is good enough to raise a kid. It's surreal how much real life is sometimes like Idiocracy...
