This kid getting beat up really isn't that big of a deal. He'll just move on with his life. That's what children do, they are resilient creatures. And sometimes its not a big deal to them.

your right. They will move on. But what does it say about the person doing the beating.

The caretakers were the ones doing the beating. That's where the problem lies. Either way its a grown up beating a child. Thats not ok.

When kids fight kids, dust em off and send em on their way. But when a grownup decides to beat the ever loving fuck out a child, its not ok behavior

Police said Jaton Warren, 27, and her mother, Maia Beadeau, 51, are responsible for beating the boy Wednesday.

"Some relatives came over to his house and lured him away under the pretense of having him help move some boxes," Miller said.

Police said that after the child got to a West Des Moines home, the women beat the boy and then dropped him off at his mother's house in Des Moines.

"They picked the young man up and with the mother's knowledge. They went over to the house in West Des Moines, where he was assaulted and sustained some serious injuries," Miller said.

I mean what the fuck is wrong with these monsters. They get a kid to agree to help them move and then hurt the boy?

Police said when the mother saw her son bruised and battered, she took him to the emergency room at Iowa Methodist Medical Center.

The boy's grandmother said he is still in the hospital and doing pretty well.

If he was hospitalized, it was pretty severe.

The nighttime beating took place in September 2007 in the West Des Moines garage of Beadeau's daughter, Jaton Warren, now 30. Warren's 8-year-old daughter said she had been sodomized by the 12-year-old relative. During the 10-minute beating that left him bleeding, the boy admitted assaulting the girl and apologized repeatedly

After the beating was reported, she said, authorities showed more interest in prosecuting her than investigating allegations against the boy.

Because prosecutors in Iowa aren't all full blown retards.

Beadeau still faces charges for fleeing Iowa to Mexico as her first trial approached in 2008. She said she left because she did not believe she would receive a fair trial.

Hopefully she winds up in prison for that

In all honesty, I can't see a way that the 8 year old is more traumatized than the 12 year old.
