He refuses to use the litter box, won't play with yarn, and still likes bones.
I feel that in this modern age where the old roles of hunting, mousing, and guarding the house are no longer needed its only fair to treat them equally. And Kitty just seems to be more evolved and cooperative and works well for treats and rewards. But with Spot, no amount of punishment seems to work, he stubbornly refuses to act like a cat.
Just the other evening a strange man was looking in the bedroom window and Spot started barking at him, something no good cat would ever do. Meanwhile Kitty ran away and hid under the bed just like a sensible dog.
I don't know what I'm doing wrong with Spot, any suggestions? (Yes I had him neutered, but it did not help.)
