There were a few good threads over at r/askscience explaining why they are not all that wild about evolutionary psychology. Mostly it boils down to a lot of said research lacking scientific rigor. I think it's OK to question a lot of the tripe that gets published.

Feminists hate Darwinism, evo psych and science in general because it basically outs their emotional way of "thinking" as little more than the manifestation of biological imperatives and as far inferior to logical thinking.
