Graham Holley, chief executive of the Training and Development Agency for Schools, has complained that teachers unions label him a ‘sexist’ whenever he raises the issue of getting more men in schools. “Whenever I talk about the need to get more men into primaries, the unions say I’m being anti-women, but it’s not that,” said Graham Holley, chief executive of the TDAS.

Why do people take insults like this seriously anymore? How can someone be anti-women in teaching when they make up 85% of the profession? It doesn't even make sense.

Male teacher sacked for allowing children to whom he owed a legal duty of care (and who would render the school vicariously liable) to operate a thirty year old device of unknown design or safety based solely on his word without anyone even checking to see if it was sound, in order to perform an activity that can be not only dangerous, but deadly.

i can understand how some people might think this is a little too far. But no one got severely hurt. He did not deserve to be fired/suspended for this. A warning? Maybe but nothing he did was harmful so i see no problem.

A teacher takes kids up a steep hill without any safety precautions, nor any waiver from parents, and is surprised when the school has a problem with that? This isn't misandry, it's punishing a guy for being a dumbass.

Why even send your kids to school? The skills they will need are not going to be learned in school. Not with the future they have.
