Assange right now is acting more as a catalyst in current events than anything else. His publicity, is as the article said, drawing a large amount of attention to the draconic feminists. Still, like the Republican party in the US, there are going to be splinters along the more liberal and more conservative in the feminist groups. The question is where and how those factions will form, and what their political power would be.

I don't think he has turned the tide, but it has made many people realize the broader issue and struck a deep division.

What it has done is force those who want to fight injustice to realize that things are not as simple and clear as they'd like them to be.

It has sown a simple seed of doubt - "What does it mean if the supposed patriarchy is using feminism as its tool?"

Feminists like their cousins the racists are on the run everywhere. People who see the world soley through the prism of their own gender or race are out of step with the times. The feminist groupies in Sweden will get the pilloring they deserve.
