How many of you think women are out to 'get' men?

I doubt any women wake up and think to themselves, "Im going to go mess up some guys today."

But what I dont doubt is the shift in power in my relationships with them and how they perceive me.

For example, I wont be a big brother. I wont be an elementary school teacher and I wont play on a playground, alone, nor with a camera.

I know none of those women there are out to "get" me, but Im not willing to take the chance that they will not think Im out to "get" them. One concerned parent and I could be trying to explain myself to the police (or worse). I have to be aware of that.

When I go on a date I have to be mindful that if she drinks any alcohol that if we have sex later she could, at any time, decide it was rape and I would face an uphill battle. I may come out of it. And sure she probably wont. But its a shift in power. Its a risk.

I know that if I start living with a girl and we get in a fight that I would need to see if Im in the handful of states that say police officers MUST arrest someone (the man). Im sure she wouldnt be out to "get" me and maybe nothing like that would ever happen. But it could happen and all the cards would be in her hand, not mine. So I know I have to be careful. Thats another risk.

I know that in the context of marriage I could lose my ass.

I know that if she ever gets pregnant that all the power goes to her. Child support, custody, even if I end up as a dad all of those things are up to her.

All of these things make dealing with women a high stakes game of poker. Im playing for companionship but Ive got to wager some pretty big chips in order to play. Ive got to risk my professional reputation (false rape charges), my house (domestic violence, divorce), my finances (children and divorce) and my freedom (domestic violence, false rape, child support) just to play.

as a whole, i dont think they are out to get men. There are a handful of psychos out vindictive evil women out there, probably more than we can count, or society would like to admit

I don't think that women are out to "get" men. I just think that for many women, their self-interest trumps any consideration for any rights men may have as human beings. I just think that most women don't give a shit as long as they get what they want.
