It's a huge embarrassment for women everywhere whom, though they do support equal right, do not want those rights to be at the expense of men's.Rape is rape. Doesn't matter under which circumstances nor which gender it affects. My ex was a male rape councilor here in Ottawa, Canada and the amount of pain and embarrassment those men feel is insurmountable. i can only imagine after all of this, once one musters up the courage and seeks help only to be turned away??That's unacceptable and unethical.

Funny, I keep being told by feminists or feminist advocates that it's not a zero sum game.

Around this time a study was commissioned to identify the needs of adult sexual assault victims. It was to be all inclusive, male and female. For women, surveys were given out at the many organizations that help female victims and at doctors' offices. Men were made aware of this study through the "escorts for hire" ads in The London Free Press. A sympathetic co-worker pointed it out to me.

this is important testimony, but unfortunately lacking the sources that would make it outstanding.

I don't judge Mr. McCutcheon's veracity, but I must acknowledge that if it were written from the female pov, I'd also file it under 'personal testimony'.

It is the same feminist mentality that makes them push for laws that would send an innocent man to jail, to be raped, merely by false rape accusation... because to them it is better that an innocent man go to jail than a guilty man go free.

It is absolutely sick, twisted, and disgusting. It is why feminism has lost all moral high ground.

Reading this makes me want to cry. Who cares if it was a boy or girl being raped? he was a child! They're practically the same at that age neway, can't believe it got ignored like that.

ASCA was set up for all adult victims of child abuse. Anyone, regardless of gender, in the author's situation should check them out.

Funny how basic psychology tells you that sexual trauma as a child causes severe changes and "abnormal" natures as an adult. Do you really think that men just naturally want to rape women, for instance? Do you think maybe some boys are sexually molested as a child and that's one of the many consequences of it (along with lack of treatment)?

It's already bad enough that lots of women are sexually abused as child and end up looking for someone that's violent with them to bring the experience back out again (we all know of a woman that's in an abusive relationship and if she does get out, she just finds another abusive relationship). Why do we allow boys to grow up with these issues and force them to suffer (or in some cases enjoy) such sexual deviation, then beat them down for it all?
