it's FOOLISH parenting to spank your kids in public in this ridiculous feminist climate. but it's even MORE FOOLISH to avoid spanking them at all. this is why single mothers produce so many criminals compared to men who do discipline and spank their children.
if anything, you can always wait till you get home to spank them or really, you should spank them more effectively the first time around so you don't have this pattern of defiant behavior. if you spank them right the first couple of times, this behavior will be nipped in the bud so you won't have to tolerate it in public. if it is happening frequently in public then you're either not spanking hard enough or being inconsistent in your discipline.

A bear hug is what men refer to as FUCKING RETARDED. It does NOTHING to address disobedient behavior. Imagine a cop giving a criminal a bear hug as a means of curbing poor behavior. Sheer fucking IDIOCY. Cops apply physical pain because they are not dumbfucks like you, assuming that rainbows, unicorns, stickers and sunshine are enough to curb real world bad behavior. Simply restricting a child's movement does NOTHING to address the child's infraction. It is irresponsible parenting at best and dangerous parenting at worst as it artificially implies to the child that there are no real consequences for defying authority in the real world.
And you have to be high to assume that idle threats are just as effective as a practical spanking. You are the exact type of fail parent who abuses the point of spanking. Instead of spanking a child for defying authority and curbing that dysfunctional behavior, you ALLOW the child to seize your authority. The more you continue to act like a BITCH and let the child dictate the terms of the relationship, the more the child is able to manipulate and frustrate you to the point of real violence. This is when parents snap and actually beat their kids to the point of doing real physical harm to them.
