I became aware of these books at about the time that I read Who Stole Feminism. I have them on my "to read" list, but I spend so much time reading at work that I haven't felt like picking up the books yet.

Also - Who Stole Feminism is a great book on a similar subject.

I would like to note the following, though. In the Wikipedia article, under criticisms, it has the following line:

[B]ecause they are making moral arguments, they are free to make blanket, unreferenced assertions, such as the following: "Some people are aware of misandry but fervently believe that hatred toward men should be regarded as a legitimate exception to the general rule against hatred toward other groups."

I have personally experienced the mentality in the quote used. I have had several people, both male and female, tell me that comments demeaning men are okay because men live in a state of privilege. Since women do not live with this privilege, it is not acceptable to demean them.

While the criticism may be valid that this mentality is not scientifically presented in the book, I can attest that it does exist and is prevalent. And it is entirely unjustified and unfair.

Great books. Spreading Misandry opened my eyes to men's rights and how men aren't given a fair representation in movies and television. Unfortunately Libraries and even large book stores rarely carry these titles.
